History the Baltic Amber
Amber is a fossilized plant resin, NOT a stone. It is light-weight and warms on the skin. It is produced from the ancient resin of trees in the Baltic region of Russia and wholly organic. During the Middle Cretacceous and Tertiary period (10-100 million years ago) resin bearing fell all over Europe. These ancient tree species are now extinct. The trees that fell in the Baltic region 35-40 million years ago are now covered by the Baltic Sea. True Baltci amber washes up on the shores of the Baltic and is believed to have special qualities. The main producer of Baltic Amber is Russia.

The necklaces are made with silk thread, and are designed to break if necessary. Only one bead will ever come loose due to the beads being individually knotted, and all beadsare small enough NOT to cause a choking hazard if swallowed. The clasps are molded plastic screw clasps that are smooth and baby-proof!
It is recommended that babies be supervised while wearing their neckaces. At night, the necklace can be removed from the neck and wrapped around baby's ankle under thier sleeper.
