Best bassinetThe Maxicosi Bassinet is such a beautiful bassinet and very easy to put together and take apart. It is also great for traveling.

I'm so sad we have almost outgrown it!We bought the Iora because our big baby outgrew the smaller bassinet within 4 weeks. I wish we had this one all along. It is so great- a fantastic height for taking baby in and out, comfortable for her, and super easy to break down for travel. The mesh sides are really breathable and, if you have a wiggled like we do, don't cause any concern when she presses up against them. PSA: I know they say that you don't need crib sheets but we use the Brolex bassinet sheets with it and they fit perfectly. I am so sad that our little one is about to outgrow it. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to room-in.

Not badPros: I enjoy how it raises and lowers height. Feels sturdy. Love the carry case. Fairly light. Looks good. Cons: No wheels. Got squeaky after a few months. The mesh is pretty hard to see through so I had to physically get up to look at my baby, with a C-section that's not exactly simple. The mattress/pad is extremely thin.

The best!!!This bassinet is absolutely amazing! It looks sleek and stylish in our bedroom and our baby loves it. He has been sleeping through the night since 9 weeks so the mattress must be comfortable:) Super easy to travel with as well. Highly recommended this one!!

The perfect bassinetI can’t say enough about this bassinet! On top of being incredibly stylish (1st time mom can you tell?!) it was perfect for our baby! It was comfy and secure and he loved sleeping in it! It was also perfect for being on the go and we packed it up on weekends to take to our cottage easily! It is larger but we liked that and were able to use this right up till he was 4 months (and began rolling) I can’t recommend it enough!

Stylish, but not entirely practicalPros:
- This bassinet looks great.
- The mesh is easy to see thru if you’ve got a night light or soft lamp on at night. They even photograph well.
- The high sides and bigger mattress size make it seem like it’ll last longer than some other bassinets, too.
- The storage area at the bottom is more useful than I realized it would be—stocked ours with baskets containing swaddles, bibs and the like.
- Set up was super quick.
- you can adjust the height without using a tool
Cons:
- The height settings sound appealing — four options! But they don’t vary much between each and it’s either too high or too low to be very practical. At the lowest setting it’s still too high to easily reach in from our average-height bed. Your arm will likely bend awkwardly over the top if you try to reach in to pat the baby. And at the highest setting, I can’t see the baby clearly while I’m laying in bed. And it’s still a bit of a bend while standing. I think ideally it would have the option to go a touch lower for easy reach-in if placed next to the bed, and/or a touch higher for easy reach-in while standing and easy view of the baby when you’re laying in bed if the baby is at the foot of the bed.
- Because of the size, this might be tricky to squeeze into a smaller bedroom. As such I’ve used mine at the base of the bed.
- The legs would benefit from wheels to move around more easily though not critical.
- the side to side movement promoted is fairly minimal and only works in one direction. Doesn’t seem hugely impactful.
- needs more obvious sheet options. I found sheets from another company but MaxiCosi really needs to make their own sheets available or give people more info up front about what size works best. A stretchy cover for a 21x33 bassinet works well.
- wish it were sturdier. When our baby thrashes in the night, the bassinet does wiggle/shake. It seems fine but isn’t ideal.
I really love the look of it, and our baby does sleep well in it, but I am not convinced it’s the smartest bassinet option out there especially given the price.
