How to Use
- Sterilize the pump by boiling it in water for 2–3 minutes.
- Place the flange over your nipple, ensuring your nipple is comfortably centred in the neck of the pump.
- Gently squeeze the base of the pump to create suction and begin expressing milk.
- Once milk begins to flow, leave the pump in place to collect the milk.
- When the pump is full, empty the milk into a suitable glass storage container and reposition the pump as needed.
- If milk flow slows or you have collected the desired amount, attach the suction base to a flat surface while you finish feeding or get ready.
Tip: Encourage let-down by placing a warm flannel over your breast and gently massaging. While your baby feeds, attach the Haakaa pump to the opposite breast to collect milk that might otherwise be lost in a nursing pad.
