The KidCo® Safeway® baby safety gate is specifically designed for top of stairs use, but can also be used in hallways or as a room divider. Provides maximum safety at the top of stairs and in high traffic doorways. Features include stop pin to prevent gate from swinging over open stairs, quick release hardware and a mounting template for safe installation.

Very sturdy and not terrible lookingWe installed this on our extra-wide stairwell at the top of the stairs. It's very solid and looks about as good as you could hope for a baby gate. We take the gate off the hinge at night so we don't accidentally walk into it in the dark and it comes off fairly easily - but not so easily that a toddler/child could manage it.
